Recover and Restore Deleted Items in Outlook

1. Select the items to recover. Hover over each item and check the box next to it. If there's no checkbox, right-click the item, then select Move > Inbox or another folder.

2. Move the items. On the Home tab, click Move. Choose a folder from the list or select Move to a different folder to see all options. You can also drag items to other folders.

3. Restore Items from Junk Email. Check your Junk Email folder regularly to recover any non-junk messages before they are permanently deleted:

  • Outlook.com: Items are deleted after 10 days.

  • Outlook on the web: Items are deleted after 30 days.
